UGRA
Partners with Guadalupe-Blanco River Trust
The Upper
Guadalupe River Authority has established a partnership with the
Guadalupe-Blanco River Trust and the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority to
promote and encourage the voluntary conservation, stewardship and
enjoyment of the land and water resources of the
Upper
Guadalupe
River
watershed. The
Guadalupe-Blanco River Trust facilitates the voluntary conservation of
resources within the Guadalupe watershed.
This is especially critical in
Kerr
County, which is under increasing pressure from development resulting in the
fragmentation of large ranches. The
Trust and UGRA believe that voluntary conservation and sound land
management by private landowners are the keys to protecting and
enhancing water quantity and quality in the Upper Guadalupe.
A UGRA appointee will sit on the Trust’s Board and the Trust
and UGRA will work closely together.
Further information about the Trust can be found at www.gbrtrust.org.
