Upper Guadalupe River Authority

The Guadalupe River originates in Western Kerr County, deep in the Texas Hill Country.  This beautiful spring fed river is one of the highest rated recreational and scenic rivers in Texas and is Kerr County's central asset.

The Upper Guadalupe River Authority was created as a conservation and reclamation district by the Texas Legislatures in 1939.  The mission of the Upper Guadalupe River Authority is to conserve and reclaim surface water through the preservation and distribution of the water resources for future growth in order to maintain and enhance the quality of life for all Kerr County citizens
